It's finally mine. This 1964 Tr4 was my fathers that he gave to me for my 21st birthday.

A little history on this car. My Dad bought the car for $500 bucks back in the late 70's early 80's, I'm not positive. His first wife told him that if he brought the car home, their marriage was over and he didn't listen. The car was a work in progress for a while. When he met my mom he was in the final stages of finishing the car. Upon their engagement my dad asked my mom, she could have a diamond ring or they could get a new engine for the tr and she chose the engine. Wow my dad got lucky. The car was finished for a while and i came along. I used to love to go for rides w/ dad in the car when i was younger, and we would take it places as a family, back when i could fit in the backseat. When I was five dad rebuilt the engine and i would sit there and "help" but really just watch him work on it. I loved the car growing up and it eventually became my dream car. In 2000 my dad bought a BMW Z3 and the tr went into the barn. And there it sat. Then last year dad bought a 1980 Porsche 911 SC and sold teh Z3 and he started taking it to car shows seeing other triumphs he was going to pull it out of the barn and get it back on teh road. We knew teh timing chain needed to be replaced but the rocker panels started to rust and the throw out bearing was stuck on its shaft and caused us to blow out the slave cylinder so it went back in the barn. When we had it out of the barn it lit the spark inside me that was the love for that car so i kept buggin him about fixing it and on Nov 1st it became mine. Oh and for those of you who know these vehicles and the parts in them......my name is Lucas

I will have pics up soon.
Check out my garage for my other cars
