*** FIRST SET OF PICS HAVE BEEN BORROWED FROM THE INTERNET, PICS OF MY GTI ARE BELOW***
Ok... It's official. I HATE (HAAAAAAAAATE!!!!!) the state of Maine. So thanks to the potholes out here, I had to replace my front passenger side tire. I had to wait almost 2 weeks to get the replacement tire in. Now I have to order ANOTHER tire because of ANOTHER pothole. So basically, all my "spare" money that was going to go for a new intake, is now going to replace the busted tire and fix the paint thanks to all the rocks on the roads. My car is speckled with chipped paint spots. Looks almost like it was hit with a shotgun shell of rocks.
I'm attempting to schedule a dyno test this spring. I love it when the speedometer goes to 180 mph, but every piece of info I can find on the 2007 GTI says the top speed is only 130 mph (with gov). Now, why put a gov. in a car set to 100 mph+? It's bloody fast enough it makes no sense to put a gov in the damn thing. Also, if all goes well, will be attending a car show in the summer where I plan to race a friends del Sol. I'll have pics and dyno info up after it's all gone down.
True VW and GTI fans will enjoy this. Try it out and see how well do you know your fast?
I traded my 2006 Jeep Wrangler "Crawl" in for this new 2007 Fahrenheit GTI. Sad, but true. Gas mileage is a necessity. 2.0L Turbo 200 HP 4-cylinder. It's a blast.
Nice, isn't it??
I've been looking for some new wheels. I think these would be a good addition to the car. I'm looking at around $200 per wheel. Not bad, but I wish they were a little cheaper.
Koing "Hotswap Black" wheels. Mmmmmm...TAA DAA!!!
