Thanks for taking time to check out my Caprice.  Let me know what you think & please rate the ride.

The "9C1 SS" Project

Welcome to my 9C1 page.  This page is constantly evolving as the build goes on.  The restoration is taking on the form of a mild restro-mod motif.  I know this generally applies to older muscle cars, but seeing as my car was originally a sheriffs' patrol vehicle the car has seen a few body work repairs to go with the performance modifications I've made along the way.

The car itself is a retired LA Sheriff's unit that was rebuilt by that agency in 2000.  A $12,000+ build meant a new LT1 350cu powerplant, a new 4L60E trans and a full replacement of anything that was worn out.  Essentially the car was completely restored for patrol work.  It was sold at auction in 2006 to the person I bought it from, making me the third owner.  When I recieved it, only 23,000 miles had passed since the rebuild and it was rust free.

Please don't forget to rate my ride and leave any feedback.  Ideas, opinions and critiques are welcome as long as they are respectful.  For the fellow B-Body owners out there, I hope this page can help you with your builds.

Thanks for looking,

Jay

Well, it looks like your doin great so far. That's the good thing about retired police vehicles, they come with a lot of options, and extra horsepower....
