stricker76's 1995 Chevrolet Silverado Here is what i started with. 1995 Chevy Silverado, stock except for the flowmaster cat-back duals and updated wheels. Swore i was going to keep it stock and not mess with it.

stricker76's 1995 Chevrolet Silverado Then the rearend started howling. I always though of getting a posi or some gears for it, but like i said, i didn't want to mess with it. But since it needed a rear anyhow, might as well upgrade. So in went a 14-bolt semi floater 3.42 Posi out of a light-duty 2500. This meant a change in bolt pattern to 6 on 5.5 which meant i had a bunch more options for factory wheels.

stricker76's 1995 Chevrolet Silverado Bought some wheels off of a friends yukon, and drove it for awhile like that.

stricker76's 1995 Chevrolet Silverado Then i found these for sale and decided i would change the look of the truck a bit. Once i got those on (needed some spacers to fit them since they were off a 4x4) it just didn't look right. It sat way too high in the back, the mud flaps looked out of place and the inside of the box needed to be covered. So, the rear got a 2" drop, off with the mud flaps and got a tonneau cover for the back.

I think it looks a million times better now. Now it just needs a little more in the power department. So i bought a 6.0L LQ9 out of a 2005 Escalade. With 345 hp and 386 ft-lb it should move this thing alot better than the stock 5.7L. With way too many projects going on this winter, i probably won't get it swapped in until next winter but oh well. It runs alright now anyhow.

stricker76's 1995 Chevrolet Silverado Heres a shot of the motor.

Plans change yet again. Now the LQ9 is going in my 75 malibu, and i am on the hunt for a 5.3L to swap into the siverado next winter.....hopefully.
