Colonial Beach Dragway, opening day, March 2009 CBD, headlight removed to feed cool air to the motor
This is my 2004 Pontiac GTO. It is one of roughly 800 Impulse Blue, manual trans cars produced in '04 and one of about 500 with the Impulse Blue paint, 6-speed and Barbados Blue interior. It currently has 50,000 miles on it and I only drive it in warm weather.
I bought it in 2006 with less than 20k on the clock. Just after I purchased the car, my grandfather had a stroke. Being my only vehicle, I racked up at least 12k driving between Virginia and Ohio to see him as much as possible.
Enter, my Ford: Last March, I bought a 1996 Ford Explorer XLT and retired the Goat of it's daily driving duties. Last year combined, it saw less than 2000 miles. This year, I've only put about 250 miles on the car.
As of right now, I have temporarily relocated in order to complete my education, so the car is being stored at my parents house. Once I get back home and get settled in, the car'll be treated to some new parts. SLP headers and cats will complete the exhaust and a Volant airbox will replace the current aftermarket pipe and cone filter. A 160 degree thermostat, custom camshaft from my buddy's Trans Am and valvetrain will finish off the top end. I figure the combo will be good for mid to high 12's in the quarter.
Check out my Explorer and all my past cars too...
