I bought this 1974 Nova in good running condition for $1200 about 4 years ago. It had a crappy paint job but the interior was nearly perfect, and it had a 350 so I didn't care.
Pretty much completely stock.
Guy who had it before me did his own paint job in his brother's garage when he was in high school. Needless to say it was a piss-poor job, and now the paint looks horrible.
The engine was rebuilt about 14 years ago, and had less than 100k on it when I bought it. Unfortunately for me it had a bad oil leak and eventually spun a bearing. Now I'm waiting for money to get a GM Performance crate 350.
I replaced the crappy stock 2-bbl carb with an Edelbrock 600cfm 4-bbl. The difference it made in the cars performance was HUGE. That's the upside of good ol' American muscle.
After replacing the carb I took it to the track and ran a 15.9 with bad plugs. My previous best with the old stock Rochester 2-bbl was around a 16.6. Would have been a full second faster if I had all new wires and plugs. Never had a chance to go back before the motor failed.
Good picture of the 15" American Racing rims.
Picture of the grill after I painted it black. Looks so much better this way.
I photoshoped most of the dents and paint blotches out of this picture. When I do get a paint job I want to paint it Silverado green.
