I have been waiting to get this part for my car for quite a while and I ordered it as soon as I was able to save up the money for it.
I went to my parents house and I was told that a package arrived for me earlier in the week. I new what it was so I rushed out to take a look at it.
Here is the first thing I saw.

I decided to start opening it up to reveal what I have been waiting for.

Now here it is. The 4th gen WS6 Ram Air II Hood for the third gen firebirds. I saw this hood and I new I just had to get one for my car and now I do.

I got the help from my brother again to help me put it on and the first thing we had to do was to take off the old hood.

We got the hood on but noticed that it sat up about half and inch to high. When we got it on the hood lifts we noticed that they didnt sit flush with the hood so we decided the only way to get the hood to come down was to modify the mounting hole on the lifts to make the hood sit lower. You can see in these pics what it look liked to start off with and what we had to do to make it fit.
The lifts before

The lifts after

We had to do some adjusting to the lifts as well. Had to move them back a bit to get the hood to sit right. Had to do other adjustments while we put it on as well. It took us probably 3 hours to get it on and it still needs some adjustments but I will be able to do them myslef. I got this hood from Hawk's Third Gen parts and I must say that the hood is great. It is in a gray gel coat with just some minor flaws is all. The underbody of it is black already it it comes with its own hardware to bolt everything on. It was also nice that it came with 2 silver Ram Air stickers to put on the hood as well but those won't be on until after it gets painted. The hood is not on perfect but It was the best we could do and it will work for me for now until I can get around to adjusting it some more. Here are some final pics of the hood on.

I really do think that it gives the car a more aggressive look. I couldn't help myself, I just had to take a few pics of the car with the scanner going as well.
In this pic you can kind of see that the drivers side still sits a little high and I am trying to find a way to get it to go lower.

Here is another one with the scanner going

In these last pics out in the sun you an see what still needs to be adjusted. The nose sags a bit in the middle but I think I already know how to solve this problem. Hopefully soon I can have it fitting perfectly but I can deal with how it looks for now.

The next thing to go on my car is a 4th gen spoiler which should be here in a week or so from Hawk's as well. I will post those pics as soon as I get the spoiler and get it put on. If anyone is looking to get these same part, please don't hesitate to get in touch with Bruce at Hawk's Third Gen Parts. He is a great guy to do business with.
