I was surfing the net one day and decided to take a look at the KITT-X website to see if he has done anything different with his car and I seen that he was selling different colored lenses for the style of scanner light that I have. I decided that I would order a smoked colored one to put in front of my red one and also a blue one just to be different. He was offering 2 different color blue lenses. A translucent blue lens and a transparent blue lens. The difference between the two is that the translucent blue you can't actually see through it like you can the transparent blue and the translucent blue gives off more of an erie glow when it is running. The problem was that the transparent blue was cut at 24 inches and the scanner requires about 26.5 inches to fit perfectly. I decieded I would order both of them just so I would have them. Mike Ott, the owner of KITT-X, said he would sell me the smoked and the translucent blue and would give me the transparent blue for free because he didn't know if it would work or not. He was a really great guy about it. I figured that would be okay because if it wouldn't work, Jeremiah, the owner of the KITT from the MOPAR show, said he was looking for a blue lens and his scanner is from Marks and the lens needs to be abut 22 inches which would work out great. Here are the lenses after I got them.

Here are a couple pics of the scanner going without the smoked lens put in.

Here is the pic with the smoke lens installed with the scanner off. Notice how you can't see the red lens anymore. It now looks black with the light off even in the daytime.

Here are the pics with the smoked lens installed and the scanner running. It tones down the brightness of the light but it is still visable in the daytime.

I decided to put the blue lens in and drive with it on my car for a while. I couldn't put the smoked lens in front of it because then in the daytime you can't see the scanner going becuase the blue lens tones down the light a lot. Here is the pic with it on my car with the scanner turned off.

Here are a few pics of the scanner running when it is a little darker out. You can see some white light from the top of it because I don't have the hood closed because I was changing out the lenses while I took the pics.

Here are the pics that I took to show Jeremiah what his lens looks like when it is lit up. It is a lot brighter and I haven't decided if I will order another one for me yet or not but the lens I have now is going to Jeremiah.
