Everyone remember the hit TV series Knight Rider, well, this is my conversion with my own touches to make it my own. The real conversion is with my other car.
This is just the beginning of my conversion and i will have more in the pages to follow.

I bought the car back in October of 2001 but it did not run. I paid $500 for the car and, except for the paint, the body is in pretty good condition along with the interior. There was just a few minor things wrong with the interior, a small crack in a panel, small hole in the back seat, and just a few other minor things wrong.

The main thing that was wrong with the car is that it wouldn't run. When i went to look at it to make sure i was going to buy it i thought it had a 305 in it, but to my surprise it had a TPI 350 with only 67,xxx original miles on it. When i tried to start it, I knew right away what was wrong with it but I wasn't going to tell the guy I was buying it from what it was since he had no idea what was wrong with it. It was the fuel pump and that was it. They make a certain sound when an electronic fuel pump turns on and it didnt make that sound.

So I paid him the money and had it towed to a shop to have the pump replaced. I would have done it myself but I really didnt have the time to do it and I wanted the car up and running as soon as possible. I got it running and I loved the feel of the power that engine. I drove it for a while before I decided that the nose had to be changed.

I also have an 83 Trans Am that i am doing a complete restore on and a complete KITT conversion but I didn't want to wait that long so I got me a front nose from Robert Yancey, same as RAIF's nose that is going on to their 82 TA project car. I should have got one from Marks Custom Kits but i didn't, but i am considering getting it now. The scanner came from Don Colie and the conversion started.
