73charger528's 1973 Dodge Charger This is my 73 charger se I bought this in MAY it has a 400 in it but will soon be replaced by a 11.6-1 comp. 528 cid. stroker. MOTOR IS IN SEE PAGE 7

It's kind of funny I bought this car because I thought it would make a nice car to cruise around in. Once I started driving it around I felt the need for more power it seems that no matter how fast my cars are I always want to go faster. I felt that it would be cool to build a street car thats fast with lots of atitude and given the fact that it fairly heavy 3800lbs making it go low 11's to high 10's would not only be challenging but if I can pull it off in street trim it will be sick.

I will try to do it all on motor but if needed thiers always the blue bottle!

At a mopar only chat they say the engine should make a little over 600hp and 600+ft TQ.

with the current set up they est ETs should be somewhere in the low 11s high tens

73charger528's 1973 Dodge Charger This is my 528 stroker its specs
4.38 bore flat top fored 11.5-1 pistons valve relieved to .700 lift 4.375 stroke alloy steel forged crank 7.1 rods alloy steel forged I beam rods .051 felpro gasket to keep comp down a little.

the heads are aluminum edelbrock performers 2.14 int 1.81 ex 84cc closed chambers with MRE adjustable roller rockers and Hughs billet hold downs.

comp cams 285int 297ex @.006 lift .545int/ .545ex lift 106 centerline 110 lobe sep.

intake is a Edelbrook TM7 with a 2" spacer adapter to fit my 1090 king demon carb

for a fuel system im running 1/2" fuel lines a weld in sump from jeggs and a holley electric fuel pump and regulater.

for oil system I went with a single exsternal pick up with a 9qt monroso pan. I purchased a kit from Mancini racing it includes a melling high presure high volume pump a monroso pick up,MRE adapter plate(to rederect the flow from internal to external) and a 1" braided line the pan I already had

exaust is handled by a set of hooker super comp headers 1 7/8 primary and 3" collecters leading back to a 3" duel exaust with turbomax mufflers.

the trans is a modified 727 T flite with turbo action manual valve body and a 10" 3500rpm TCI street fighter converter

power go's to the ground through a 8 3/4 shure grip with 3.91 gears/457s when I go to the track and yukon alloy axles with 3" studs and a set of mopar super stock springs and adjustable pinion snuber.

In the near future replacing the springs with a caltrac set up bars and mono leaf lancher springs.

If the budget allows I am going to purchase a front end kit from Magnum Force this would get rid of the tortion bars and drop 200lbs from the nose.

the kit includes upper and lower control arms, rack and pinion steering, tubular k member, coil overs, big rotors, new calipers and all odds and ends needed to install it. cost about $3500

going old school with the rims and tires out back going as wide as possible either Micky tompson sports man,Indy profile or a nice set of MH racemaster cheater slicks.

This car is being built to go to cruises and the track once in a while.

Nice Charger man. Im looking to do a 528 stroker setup in my wedge too, what can you tell me about it? How much clearance work did you have to do? I see you had to use an external pickup too. Also, check out the distributor thats in my wedge, sure would look good on your motor. By the way, this motor is in a Chevy C-10! Check it out. oh yea and 5 stars

Beautiful car! Really nice job on the cage, interior, hood, and especially the motor. Now, we want to see and hear it in video. Congrats!
