These are pictures of of my first car, our family's old 1972 Nova. My parents gave me this car when I was just old enough to drive. I could either have this old car (did not run) or they would buy me a running used car. I decided to keep this one! Good choice, now there are few of them and I get offers to buy it every day!
It started life with a THM350 transmission and V8 307 small-block with a 2V Rochester carb. I have replaced that with a THM 700R4 transmission and V8 305 with a TBI fuel injection system. The whole story can be found here. http://home.hiwaay.net/~davida1/Nova.htm
It will get about 26 MPG on the highway, but requires premium octane gas because of the high compression. Not too bad for a V8 car from the 70's!

Below is the custom built wood console my dad built. Has oil pressure and temp gauges in it, as well as window switches, power inverter switch and outlet, and manual reverse lights switch:

Below is the modified window mechanism. I used the original window regulator, but welded in the gear sector from a BMW 528e rear door. Then drilled and mounted the Bosch motor from the same car. Works awesome!

Here is the GFCI outlet where the 750W power inverter 120VAC power is delivered...
