Just a note here - I TURN MY OWN WRENCHES. PERIOD. I paint my own stuff, I wipe grease, check oil, adjust timing, change belts, shocks, gut interiors and offer to let people watch. Posers offer to help or come and learn but they never show. I saved this baby from a certain trip to the junkyard because the owner was "interested" in Maseratis and wanted to use this one as parts for the dead Silver 4.24V in the picture above, but didn't want to do the work himself. The local Italians refuse to touch these cars without a degree from the Maserati Factory and the American "fast n Furious" tuners nearby don't have a clue what all the gizmos in this machine are for so they quiver in fear. I just want to stay busy and she is more than a handful in the garage and on the street, BUT SHE IS MINE. I have spent a year keeping fluids from escaping, tweaking air mixtures, ripping out layered stereo systems, duplicate alarms, kill switches, fuel filters, scraping crud out of the distributor cap and trying to keep the wheels round by frequently spinning them in circles.
Zip ties and colored wires, shiny stuff goes faster - right? This is phase 1 of getting better from the disaster I bought. Oh the horror! Have you seen my dashboard?Be sure to check out my other cars in my garage, including a pair of BMW 528e cars, and a Plymouth Sundance.
