The Vortec under the Suburban's hood has over 224000 miles on it, but with a little work, it now produces more power than it did when it was new. Stock Vortecs come equipped with a restricted throttle body, but with a little grinding, it came out, uncapping the TB and giving fresh throttle response
I recently installed a Flowmaster Super 40 Muffler with Dual pipes exiting in front of the rear passenger tire
To complement it, a K & N high flow OEM Replacement filter was installed as well. Keep tuned for pics of both, maybe even a video to demo the exhaust sound.
Its loud and deep!
