I drove her bone stock with close to 300k miles on the old and dieing 2.9L V6 for about 6 months..... I had plans for her, but not the money. Then I got an amazing job fresh out of high school. How about a Civil Engineer!?? Now I had the money to start my plans.... First on the list a 4 inch suspension lift:

This is what I opted for:

So Now the work begins. My best friend/neighbor helped me out as long as I promised to help him lift his 79' FJ40 Land Cruiser:

I never took any pictures of the truck right after I finished the lift. ANWAYS, So, then one day at work, a co-worker comes up to me and tells me that she saw my truck and what I have been doin to it. She then goes on to tell me that her husband is a pro-RockCrawler and that he needs help in the pits on the team....It turns out he is the owner and driver of the team LOVELL Rock Racing!!! CURRENTY 2009 NATIONAL CHAMPIONS www.lovellrockracing.com

Long story short, I worked for the team and helped design and build their newest truck. I also repaired them after every race. With a little help from the sponsors I got hooked up with a nice set of tires and air filters:

Then I decided to throw a new heart into the beast. The 2.9L was leaking oil like a siv, and the tranny was breaking on me. I picked up a 1994 Ford Explorer 4.0L V6 (with about 45k miles on it) and everything behind it, a 5 Speed Manual and Electric T-Case. It took about 2 days to get the old engine out and the new one in. The hard part was the wiring. It took 3 months to get her to start and run again, But HOLY COW what a difference the new engine made! It hauls nuts down the road! I have pics of the swap on my phone, I'll try and get them on here soon but here is what it looks like installed and running:

I got my hands on a 31 spline Ford 8.8" rear axle with disc breaks and decided to get rid of the lift blocks and rusty old leaf springs. Here it is all cut down ready for install:

And here it is installed with the new springs and painted up!

Well I went a few months saving up money, offroading, and contemplating what to do next... How about TURBO CHARGE the 4.0!!

This is as far as I have gotten on the turbo build... I left for college in August and had to put the build on hold. I plan on gettin it done over Winter Break. Now it is time to show you whats goin on inside the cockpit!
