Decide to take some paint off and see what's underneath. Total rust bucket! There were 2 trunk pans, a new one laid over the top of the old rusted one. Removed about 100 pounds of undercoating.
Tulips, cowl and firewall needed replacing. Hard to believe this was a great looking 10 foot car when I started.
gotta love the ingenuity here roof flashing and Bondo to create a trunk drop off!
working on the restoration, I've got a way to go but body is now solid and ready for assembly going to be garnet red with dover white stripes.

here's the motor, not the original, one piece rear seal, 4 bolt hydraulic roller cam. Bored over 350 stroker. 11:1 compression, estimating 525 Flywheel horsepower. ready for nitrous, not sure if I should put it on or not.

Detroit Speed suspension, baer brakes, tubular control arms. full frame car, using subframe connectors for more rigidity
