As it turns out, I thought that it would be genuinely fun to tune this car up a bit. I thought, seeing that it's such a reliable car, and I really love to drive it, why not give it a bit of a change?

Now, It turns out, that the other week I ended up blowing up my 2nd gear syncro. Well then. Okay. she went friggin far enough before she blew, so okay. I guess it's time for some fun!

5 Speed Transaxle; 1989-1994 Vin "T" Code Engine

New Centerforce Clutch; Approx. 400ft/lb torque rating

Comp Cams, high performance Cam-Shaft W/ Lifters

Felpro Gaskets EVERYWHERE

Other minor engine mods, not to be mentioned ;)

--Perhaps shaving off 0.030" just cuz I already have the Heads apart from the engine.... : ...Not telling. ;)  Still debating whether i will or not..

Now, if the math is right, With everything done the way I wish for it to be done, I may very well be pushing about 275hp, and close to 300ft/lbs of torque out of this 3.1L V6. Keep in mind, this kind of power is also dwelling in a roughly 2,600 pound car. The Power to weight ratio is astounding for a Sun-Chicken. Not to mention, I wouldn't forget to tell you about remapping the ecm to MY own, personal spec's now would I? From research, and access to rare information, I know the engine's tolerances in both the max, and minimum range in which it can operate in all levels of the OBDI software in which it runs on. I guess it pays to have worked for General Motors. ;) Don't it?

So I bought my parts...

And Started tearing everything apart.

Here I am finishing up the timing chain after installing the cam...

Good advice to Keith15 man, thats exactly what I was gonna suggest, except I didn't know there was a 3.8 that would fit in our cars. Thats crazy. :) I also wondered, would an LG5 bolt nicely into my car, if I could find one that is.
