I got my Grand am the summer of my seinor year in high school and its been system modification, after modification, after modification! I transferred the 3 12" xlc's I had in my grams taurus http://www.sounddomain.com/member_pages/view_page.pl?page_id=5028&make_type_query=make=Ford&model_brand_query=model=Taurus&tree=Ford%20Taurus into my car then blew those. Then I dropped to 2 12" xlc's that hit high 130's but sold those. Then bought 3 12" Poweracoustik Farenheits... The Blue ones... Blew 2 of the 3... Lucks not going good so far...
Then I just got 2 12" hx2's off a powerbd1500.1 THOSE ARE INCREDABLE! They can hit a 145 all day long and are such a good sounding sub that I couldn't wait any longer . I first heard the hx2's off my BestBuy... Rockford Fosgate800aII at a competition locally... We took them from my friends car and did a qiuick wire into my car at 1 ohm and hit a 143 2nd loudest there in SPL... Beat a guy with 4 12" alpine type R's (I believe thats what there called?) and 2 18" Kicker comps... I was pretty impressed!. So that week I bought my hx2's I made my box at school and am predicting 145+'s for the next competition with the bd1500 only wired into 4 ohms! I can still wire it into 1ohm!!!!
