I Love Playing With My BIG WOODY!
Here's my 1992 Chevrolet Caprice Woody Wagon. 113,000 miles, 305 V8, Air Conditioning, Tilt Wheel, Cruise Control, AM/FM Cassette Stereo, Wire Caps, Third Seat & that's about it!
No power window's, lock's, seat's, mirror's, manual air control's. None of the crap that goes wrong with these wagon's all the time!
I like to wax the big woody too, strokin' it up and down, side to side and buffing it all over for a great spit shine. Sometimes I'll accidentally tip over the wax bottle and that white stuff gets all over the damn place but it dries up pretty quick if you spread it around!
Back in June of 2005 I was working for the City of Rehoboth Beach as a parking enforcement officer writing parking tickets. One of the first days of making the rounds I saw this big station wagon sitting out in front of this beach house with a hand written for sale sign in the window and I thought to myself, what a great looking station wagon that is! So I wrote down the phone number and called the owner the next day & it turns out the the womans father had recently passed away and she is selling it for the estate.
She was asking $2500 for it and had it for sale for about a month, so the next day I went to look at it and found it to be in just incredible condition, just a little dirty and just needed a good detailing. So I offered her $1500 for it and she took it!
After getting it home I spent the next couple of days detailing it and it cleaned up very, very nicely too. I got it registered and state inspected & emissions tested and everything passed just fine.
After doing some searchs on the internet I also found out that there are a bunch of people into these big boats, I'm not the only one!
I am very happy with the purchase and have never owned a station wagon before but I'm really enjoying it! These big 'ol station wagon's are a hoot!

My "BIG WOODY"

It's An Imposter!
This particular wagon is not a real woody made by Chevrolet, it was converted by TrimLine at the dealer when it was new. Chevrolet didn't offer the optional woody until '93. This one doesn't have the simulated wood surround that is always messed up on the real woody's, it has dual tan pin stripes that hide the edge of the wood. It was sold new at Diver Chevrolet in Wilmington, Delaware.
