Here is my 1989 Mark VII LSC. It's been repainted once and the paint is a shade lighter than the original Pewter Metallic (17). I wanted to keep the car stock, but that went out the window pretty quick. The air silencer was removed and an older air tube and a K&N air filter went in immediately. Eventually, I painted the grille to be like that of a Special Edition.
I'm playing catch up on maintenance from the last owner. It still has date coded spark plug wires! I have rebuilt the cooling system and I have integrated an Alpine CD player into the JBL sound system. I've replaced the right front caliper and I have replaced the front bearings. The Brembo replacement front rotors and Hawk HPS pads have proven to stop the car quicker and without fade. I think EBC Greenstuff pads are more grippy though. The rear calipers have been replaced due to the parking brake not being operative.
Come summer, the car will get Koni struts and shocks, new bushings, and bigger anti-roll bars. I might fiddle with the exhaust a little too.
Window tint and 17" Mustang wheels from a 1996 Cobra are in the immediate future.
