The mint green Mustang in these photos is the other 1967 Mustang I have in my corral. It's a 1967 GT coupe that I built for my sister. It's got a bench seat, I've never seen one in a Mustang before or since. If anyone knows where to get upolstery for this seat, I'd like to know! Mechanically, this car is restomod. It's 289, has been treated to an Edelbrock performer intake manifold, a Demon 550cfm carburetor, comp cams roller-tipped rocker arms and a Pertronix kit triggers an MSD 6-series spark box. (Not all progress is bad! no more points!)
The suspension was rebuilt using Global West tubular upper and lower control arms, adjustable strut rods, 4 1/2 mid-eye rear leaf springs, greasabe shackles and Addco sway bars. Just in case, the car has a full 12pt roll cage, global west subframe connectors with jacking rails, and 3-point seat belts. Lastly, I screwed-up all the other good work I did by putting an AOD 4-speed automatic in search of better performance and fuel economy. If your thinking of putting in one of these transmissions, my advice is DON'T! Give Gear Vendors a call instead! Or better yet, learn to drive stick. I'll bet you can guess what happens next.
