As of October 11 all electrical is done, the glass is in, the interior is in, the body work and paint is completely done. This week are are hanging the doors and lining up the fenders. All that is left after installing the body parts are to chop and rechrome the bumpers, align the suspension and torque them down. Then I will take alot better pictures for this
This is my 1982 El Camino Super Sport. It came stock with a 229 v6, a 2.83 rear end, a destroyed moldy interior, and a faded factory blue two tone blue paintjob. My Dad got it for me as a christmas gift " Here son happy christmas i got you the most hagard El Camino on the east coast!" Close to 2 months later we towed it down from king north carolina to rome georgia. We have done a frame off restoration on it. The El Camino had every single nut, bolt, washer, clip, and body peice removed, cleaned or replaced. We got a 1993 262 out of a chevy blazer "w" code. We have bored it out 30 thousandths and installed a 500cfm 4 barrel. 2 days in a junk yard found us chevy astro van headers that would fin in the elco's engine bay.
when i can i will add the old photos of what it use to look like and the frame off restoration. We have just Finished the wiring and we are finishing and painting the dash. The interior will have a two tone grey and blue paint sceme. I hope with in the next 2 weeks to get the rest of the body panels painted and ready to be installed.
