1966 Mustang Project

xian_66's 1966 Ford Mustang

This car was orginally a 6 cylinder car that will soon be converted to 8 cylinders. I will be installing a FRPP M-6007-XEFM crate motor.

Along with the new crate motor, I will be installing a Modern Driveline World Class T5 and cable clutch conversion in the car.

Oops would help if I paid attention... since you had a 6, never mind my questions about the accessories... but how is the motor and T5 working out?

Xian how did the crate motor install go? I have a 67 coupe and I'm looking to put -XE3M or -XEFM motor in soon. Did you use your old waterpump, timing chain cover, engine oil dipstick etc on the new engine? Also, did you use higher-than-stock stall converter on your tranny?
Cheers!

Hey Xian. Looks like a very clean start to a great car. FYI, I've got that crate motor in my 90GT with a S/C. I think you'll be very happy with this motor. Great torque, horsepower and driveability.
Good luck with your project!
