30Sep2007 - Sold my Elise and replaced my daily driver with a '94 MR2. I needed the funds from the Elise for a deposit on my new house. It was also breaking my back so it had to go. I wanted to stay with an MR layout, and I always preferred the MKII styling over the Spyder's, even when I owned a Spyder.
It needed some work. The body and interior were near perfect and it had a clean CarFax, so I bought it despite the fact the brakes were completely shot and it tended to wander dangerously on the highway.
I replaced the stock warped rotors and pads with aftermarket cross drilled and slotted rotors and ceramic pads. Of course I painted everything while it was off the car. I replaced all 4 tires with Toyo Proxes T1r to the proper stock sizes. That is when I noticed that the previous owner had replaced the rear tires, and moved the old rear tires to the front. That is why the car was wandering. DON'T EVER do that on a car with an MR layout! The most expensive thing was getting the power steering rack rebuilt because both of the boots were cracked and ripped. I replaced the outer tie rods while I was at it, and then got an alignment. That was a pain but well worth it. After I did these things (~$1,100 in parts; I did all the labor except for putting the tires on the wheels, balance & the alignment) the car drives like new.
It has been rock solid since and a fun to drive daily commuter.
28Jun2009 - Finally posting some pics.

Broken antenna...

T-Top covers in place. It even came with the felt T-Top storage pouches to protest the glass.

The engine bay is pretty dirty though - but everything is stock, including the air box which is RARE! It's better than a cheap eBay so called "CAI" and the stock one is a real CAI.

Clay bar'd the whole car, touched up all rock chips, hand buffed and polished to a like new finish.

All vin# match on all the body panels and glass.

03Jul2009 - Sold the MR2. I have another baby on the way so a backseat is needed now... I'll miss it, it as a great car!
