Page 3: The Accident 10/07

Tundraman10's 2000 Toyota Tundra I was going around a turn on Madison Avenue Expressway wich connects onto I-680 when there was a police officer accessing the damage of another accident. I slammed on my brakes and ended up hydroplanning into the wall at 55mph. I'm okay but the truck is not. 10/07
Tundraman10's 2000 Toyota Tundra Just another view. It could have been a lot worse. It just makes me sick to my stomach. 10/07

$375 to get fixed. Or pay $160 to have dent Wizard pop it out. It may not look as good then. Punched the truck because I could not get it to run properly. It could start up but once I went to put it into drive it would just crap out. It turns out that I was playing with the intake system at the time and ended up forgetting to put the throttle body gasket back in the truck. Thats all it was. Dee Dee Dee. I will never live this down.

The Hit and Run 9/08

I was coming home from college on a saturday. Yes I have class on a saturday and I'm about ready to wash my truck and I noticed on my drivers side quarter that my truck is scraped a little and my bumper is pushed in. I kept replaying in my mind thinking that back if I hit anything with it. I think that if I did that I would have felt it. Anyways it was probably some stupid freshman.

I was able to pop some of then dent out with a hammer and block of wood.

The Estimate to fix it was $380.xx I don't have that kind of money right now to fix it. Since I haven't washed the truck in a couple of weeks, I don't even notice that its even there since there is dirt and dust all over it.

6/30/2009.

I did this on sunday but I didn't get around to posting pictures of it until today.

When I first looked at it, it only looks like it just bent the license plate bracket. But upon further investigation I would find out more.

The skid plate got bent a little. I didn't think much of it unil I saw something leaking.

The lower left hand part of my radiator is leaking coolant. A new rad from the Toyota dealer is $430 just to order it.

This is the bastard that I hit. This was at night when I hit this. Here was my options, to dodge it by going into a ditch and hitting a mail box, move to the left and hit 2  other cars going the opposite diretion injuring someone and possibly killing someone or just hit it dead center and hope for the best. I came over the crest of the hill at 50mph when I hit this tank.

Tundraman10's 2000 Toyota Tundra

The tank is a 35Gallon commercial tank that farmers use to spray their crops with. The tank was brand new and it still had the $90 price tag.

7-15-2009.

I got the truck fixed. The radiator from Toyota was $412. Another $208 for labor and coolant.

$412+ $208= $620.

Thanks man, it's a slow progress. Especially this summer i've been busy with other stuff. I think my next mod is gonna be an exhaust system. Two 60 series flowmasters. It should give it a nice aggressive growl.
