This is my 92 Camaro RS 25th Anniversary Edition. I just recently bought this car from one of my dads friends with 80,000 original miles. I haven't really done too much to it yet, but I have a lot of things planned for it.
The engine right now is a 305 TBI that has about 170HP and 255ft/lbs of torque. For me thats just not enough. Im planning on eventually building a 383 stroker with around 400-450HP.
It has the T-5 manual transmission which I would like to swap out for a t-56 eventually. But the t-5 will do for now. A manual is a must for a sports car.
The rearend is a one legger 10 bolt rear end with a 3.08:1 gear ratio. I have a limited slip rearend out of a 3rd gen firebird that I traded my malibu for, along with some other stuff I needed. Hopefully I can change that out so I can hook up a litte better on the track.
The rearend is finally in after about a week of messing around getting it set up. I ran into some problems with the ring and pinion that was with the posi carrier. I had .005 backlash variation so i had to tear everything all apart and swap out ring and pinions. In the end it was worth the hassle because It was perfect when I was done. I had .003 back lash the preload and turning torque was right in spec. and the pattern was right in the middle on the drive and coast side.
