Hi my nam is Christina, my friends call me Chrissy. I own a '88 Caprice Brougham I call "Baby Blue". I bought her in Cocoa FL 8 yrs ago. At the time she had 88,000 original mi. She's 20 yrs old today and she now stays in Sebastian, FL and holds 193,000 orig.mi. on a 305 5.0L small block Chevy engine. I've upgrated the tranny to a Camero 700-R w/ shift kits, had Flowmaster exhaust & pipe for my 26th birthday BD as well as a new headliner, tint, K&N air filter, air bag shocks, new center link, new driveline, a trailer hitch, Eagle alloy 15" rims and BFG Radial T/A's.(truck tires)& the "Brougham" windshield decal.
As far as the insides go she has the Brougham package~8-way p/leather pillowtop seats, p/locks, p/windows, p/antenna, p/steering, Cruise, Tilt, rear defrost, twilight sentinal, cold A/C, Pioneer CD player, 2 Pioneer 6x9's in rear & the delay wiper system.
Baby Blue is mostly in original condition except where listed above. She looks great for her age, and runs so strong. Please understand that I've had my Caprice since before Donk came out w/ their mag, (Since 2000 bitches) Baby Blue is my first car, I learned how to drive w/her. She has since saved my life, and has never let me down & carried my ass all over this country and has kept me warm & dry while doing so. I am not a faker, or a poser. I am straight up a Caprice enthusist.
I've been everywhere in this car..in 2002 I trailered her behind a 10 ft u-Haul, to Cali, stayed in San Diego for 9 mo. then drove her to Fresno, and chilled there for 9 mo. Then drove her to Eureka where I stayed for 5 yrs. While I was living in Eureka, I drove her to Medford OR, and Eugune OR and all the way back again to Eureka...on a few occasions. I even moved to Medford for a yr and 4 mo. back from 2005-Jan 2007. Then In Feb 07 I moved back to Eureka and lived there for another 11 mo. before deciding to move back to FL, our stomping grounds. In Feb '08 I Moved from Eureka, to Medford for 3 weeks saved a bunch of money poured it into her, and then hit the road on Feb 13th '08 and drove her cross country all while pulling a 2-axle U-uaul trailer full of shit..that's right...3,400 mi! Now we're back in FL and we're lovin it...we pass by the very car lot I bought her from 8 yrs ago often, and both of us just beam with pride. (Well, I beam...she purrs!)
Because of her faithfulness to me I found myself strongly drawn to learn how to change her oil, check tranny fluid, understand carborators, and buy my own tune-up parts. I even have my very own Chiltons and used it last when I changed my front brakes. If u are a fan of Caprice or just a fan of cars in general feel free to say hello..or swing by www.myspace.com/Septembers_Equine. Put Cardomain in subject bar.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's happened, as of Sept '08 I got in my most serious accident w/ Baby Blue. At a gas station, when an old man backed into me w/ his Cadillac. ( He ran) I was extremely pissed, and cryed like a lil girl, yet I am thankful that it's not worse than it is. It ruined my drivers door and got a dent in drivers front panel. However there was NO MOTOR DAMAGE AT ALL. I got her home put a tarp over her and for the next 2 & a half mo drove a Ford F250 XLT 4x4 Triton V-10, obviously my boyfriends..lol. ( A couple times a week I would take the tarp off of her & drive her around the block so she could stretch her legs) I looked everywhere for a door, MIA, West Palm, Tampa, Orlando even here in Sebastian & Melbourne but ended up finding one in Jacksonville. It was a long drive but worth it. The new door is in better shape than my old door-NO RUST, and tinted window. As my Blue was down I ened up copin these 2 12in. Pioneer Subs about a week before i got the door from a friend of mine who just wanted me to get them out of his garage. So new door & new subs. Take the good wit the bad isn't that what they say? I know I'm definitly gonna get some hate, and all I gotta say is it's ok, hate all u want, at least she's still mine, still on the road, and got good booms. All she really needs is a paint job. All she needs is me. I love my shit and that's all that matters.
