Interior

Cavalier's interior was redesigned for 2000, making it feel somewhat larger than before. Aside from some upgraded stereo choices, it remains unchanged for 2001.

The dash has a smooth, flowing look and readable gauges, including a tachometer on base, LS and Z24. Cavalier's console achieves coffee nirvana, with two regular cupholders in front of the shifter plus three more behind it, including one that can serve the back seat.

The seats are contoured and comfortable, but side support could be better for cornering. Cloth insets in the doors helps prevent plastic overload, and a two-spoke steering wheel looks pleasantly light.

Even with last year's revisions, however, the back seat remains cramped for even average-size adults.

I have the base model Cavalier. I have no options, hand crank windows, manual locking doors, and no keyless entry. It gets annoying sometimes, but hey, less weight is good for racing. I still have mostly stock interior for the fact I dislike the painting interior and highlights stuff, but if I see something that I like, I usually do it.

New Interior
This is soon to be swapped in. I love the darker interior so this is why im doing it. Got all of it for cheap!

APC Short Shifter
I have tried a couple shifters and this one I actually like. No sun glaring off it, and doesn't get hot when my car has been parked in the sun for a long period of time. The grip on it is excellent too.

Clear HVAC Knobs
I Just recently made these clear HVAC knobs by removing the cover over the light portion. They match my gauge color but I might just end up putting a colored L.E.D. behind them to make them a different color.

CD Player/Sound System
I originally had an older version of this one but it malfunctioned so I have a new one. Its a Kenwood KDC-MP732. I still have the stock speakers for they work like aftermarket ones. The rear 6x9 speakers have excellent bass and sound quality.

Memphis Street Edge Subs
I bought these in spite of my friend who had got some as well. I got addicted and now I had to buy some. Street Edge subs are an off brand of Memphis, and still bump really hard.

Kenwood 1000w Amp
This amp puts out 1000w and is bridgable. It definitally has enough power for my subs.

Pictures will come soon of my sound system.

Pilot Foot Pedals
I found some Pilot metal foot pedals that grip to shoes very well. They have helped me with shifts from my feet slipping and also in winter for when shoes get snow and ice on them.

Gauge Cluster
I still have stock gauges. The gauges appear white turned on and off. The cluster consists of fuel gauge, engine coolant temperature gauge, speedometer, and tachometer.

Cobra Radar Detector
Had to pick up one of these after getting a ticket. Has worked wonders so far. Keeping me out of trouble.
