My 1991 Red Miata type B... where do I begin... laughing at the thought of considering to even buy a Miata, I told myself, I should atleast test drive one. My good friend had a 'weekend' Miata that she was wanting to sell, so I thought I would stop by, pick it up for a spin. The 'spin' turned into an hour.. then a day, then well, a week... yes, it was quiet, slow, stock.. but had potential as it had amazing handling qualities for a stock vehicle. Long story shorter... I bought it.. and it went into my little 'Skunkworks' that I called my garage. After some TLC.. and some made scientist modifications, I jumped from 14" wheels, to 17" wheels ( the first I had ever seen on a Miata ), rebuilt the suspension, adjustable shocks, custom springs from H and R, yeah, I went through 3 sets of springs before I was satisfied.. and low and behold, my car was slammed 3 inches, and it handled like the run-away mine train. In its most aggressive configuration, it burns the corners off of street tires in only a few thousand miles of commuting. Update:10/20/2007 Trey bought a sound preasure measuring device... yeah, I know of a red Miata that needs to be tested...
