i do appreciate the heads up on the gasket issue. i'm gonna do all i can to keep that from happening. if i'm successful it just means a stronger more affordable platform for boost is all. and a killer N/A setup
i'm completely aware of what has to be done to make the manifold fit... someone took my idea and already did it, including a writeup on NSF. he has it running well. it's more likely a warped flange and improper torque values/sequences to be the cause of blown gaskets, not a honed out hole.
hm, i still think my theory will work. did you check the intake manifold to make sure that the flange was straight? if it was warped at all, you would blow gaskets all day long. same if it was under torqued. i'm pretty sure it will work. if a GA16DE can be boosted, so can a GA16E
