Bought the car in January of 2007, had minor engine problems, fixed all problems that had been wrong with it. 1 year later: So I think I'm over the hump with the major 110000 mile parts breakdown. It's been a costly endeavor but worth it now I think. Car's running much smoother with the new exhaust as of 4/11/08 and louder!
What I've Done so far: - Alpine Headunit - 750 Watt V-Power Alpine Sub Amp - 700 Watt V-Power Alpine Speaker Amp - 4 120 Watt Rockford Fosgate 6 1/2" mid range w/ tweeter - JL Audio wiring - 12" Alpine Type S Subwoofer - 17" Sport Maxx black and chrome rims, 17" Nexen Tires - Tinted windows - Neuspeed P-Flo Intake w/ heat shield - Magnaflow HiFlo Catalytic Converter, SS 409 Muffler w/ Dunlop Twin tip
Future Plans:(need recommendations!!!) - Coilovers - GIAC Chip - Body Kit - Repaint VW Red..love that color
Here's Pics of the new exhaust:
Here's the Neuspeed P-Flo Intake:

I got a boat load of pictures that I need to put on there. Just installed new speakers (alpine components up front and 6 1/2's out back) sub and amp (a JL W2 and a profile 350 X 1.) As well as the seats. I'll make my way down to school one of these weekends and I'll show you.

Hey Steve, I spotted your ride in Brunswick a couple weeks ago and thought it looked good. Actually took a picture of it on my phone. I live in Lewiston, not too far from you. Check out my '59 Beetle if you get the chance. I wanna pick up an MK3 Golf or Jetta eventually and start modding it a little just for fun. Go to www.vwmaine.com if you get the chance, there are some pretty knowledgable people on there if you've got any questions. Take care and maybe I'll see you around.
