I bought this 318i for $1500 Oct 1, 2007. My goal is to spend no more then $3500 to restore 100% and use as daily driver.
This car has the 1.8L motor and I'm all about saving Gas money these days since I drive 100 miles to work every day.
I started stripping down that car and saw a lot of rust.. the front passenger frame rail was almost gone, where the lower control arm bushing connects was in bad shape. I had to fabricate a new on. The car so far is a bit more work then I expected.. It is hard to judge a car by its appearence unless you know the car. Hope to have this one on the road in Jan 08.
