if this car was not a rs turbo we would not of bought it in the shape the car was. but its a rare car that we had to save .
this the picture of the car we took the day we went and bought it/ or the day we looked at it. me and my buddy bought it off a guy at my work who also had a 83. the 83 was set on fire so the guy decied to put the 5.0 in the turbo capri. sad. we bought the car with the stock 2.3 turbo that came with the car pluse some extra parts.
we have all ready put over 1000$ in just machine work on the motor.we up graded the t3 turbo with a t3/t4 . ill be making a custome turbo header for it. we did the old gut and turn the intake 90 deg trick most 2.3 turbo guys do.
we had to cut out most of the floor and replace it. we putting in a roll cage that were making our self. our goal was to keep the back seat so we can bring girl friends and friends for rides ect.
after the car is 100% done we will start work on our second 2.3 block that where going to be putting a volvo dohc head on. its been done on many svo mustangs but we have yet to see a capri that has had it done.
the new hatch 70 bucks and its mint. theold one was all rusted out ect.
