SUPER HOT..... Has been owned by a BMW employee since its birth!!! You have to check out the link and read the story on this car.....very cool! You won't find many of these in the states!Heres part of it...The Z1 was developed by the research department of BMW as an experimental project testing the latest aerodynamics, plastic body materials and suspensions. Why was it named "Z" There were two versions of the reason, one said Z stands for "Zunkuft" in German, meaning "future"; another version said the car was named after its Z-axle rear suspensions, which would be used in the next generation (E36) 3-series. The Z1 was the first Roadster to be produced following the 1956 507 Roadster from renowned designer Albrecht Graf von Goertz. It was the rebirth of BMWs venerable Roadster design first started in the 30s with the 315 and 328.
