this is the stuff i started changing on the car, starting with the dash.
the check gages, and low fuel light kept commin on, was a soldiering issue behind the fuel gage itself... ask me if ya got the same prob in your regal, cutlass, grand prix, lumina or montecarlo.... maybe even some other cars
Next up, that tape deck, plus separate AM FM radio had to go!! i needed CDs at the least!
well, soldier it, and make it longer than this though... then ur set... if you do decks then you know what i mean.
this is the hole plugger for the stock radio, and the placement of the CD player i had laying around.
this is all the stuff i got rid of for good on the left, and a shot of the trim pannel that clips off on the right.
if you wanna get rid of the dinger for the key reminder and the doors, then remove this little box, it might be gray or black too.
This is a shot of the stock amp, under the glovebox. Thats where the connections are for the radio power, and speakers. also you need to extend an antenna connection to here. also the plug you need to connect to from the stock amp, which i removed completely.
This is a kindof fun little toy, but i wouldnt rate it very high in its class of pop out dvd decks. it does the job, but its not very reliable and mine makes noise, a cooling fan thats kinda loud, and it has alot of interference in comparison to my other decks. plus a shot of some of the wiring behind it, LOTS of plugs and shit... what a pain in the ass to fit it all in there!
Followed up with the capacitor installed in the glovebox
and thats about all i changed on the dash so far... other than a remotestart/alarm under the dash, which hasnt been cleaned up since its installation like 5 months ago... yeah im lazy and busy.
