0whYTee9's 1998 Volkswagen Jetta

This is my '98 Jetta GLX VR6, bought it bone stock with 120K on the odo, and 90K on the engine.  The guy I bought it from drove it in flash flood conditions and the intake sucked up water :X ...but his insurance company replaced it with an engine with 30K less on it than the car, chains and waterpump done then, conveniently with all receipts from the shop that did it too, how nice ; )

Currently at ~127K on the meter.

Here's the list of mods to date, I may have left out a few minor ones:

Autotech/Magnaflow 2.5" cat-back stainless steel exhaust

GIAC Chip

'Chrome Intakes' CAI (hey, it was $20, give me a break) got a K&N inverted cone filter to replace the crappy one it came with.

FK Streetline coilovers, with new strut bearings and bumpstops

Chrome fogs/turns (fogs shattered when placed on the ground...darn you, parts made in korea! but they are cheap)

Window tint - 35% all around (no windshield strip, those are lame IMO)

New 200 amp alternator, A/C compressor, P/S pump and accessory bracket

Kinetik HC1800 battery

Stilauto SR400a 17x8 wheels (forget the offset right off) with Yokohoma S.Drive 205/40's

mk4 rear calipers (also, painted calipers, blue)

Mods soon to come:

De-rusted trunk lid, doors and a little body work on the drivers rear quarter panel. (recently purchased clean doors and trunk lid...just a matter of swapping components)

Corrado spoiler (just have to get time to put it on)

white door handles

mesh grille (probably massacring the one I have since the tabs are broken anyways)

sideskirt delete (and the impending body work, can already see rust without taking them off yet...sweet, right?)

shaved antenna

shaved windshield sprayers (and relocation of said sprayers)

the new audio setup I've been working on, rack(s) and lighting for said racks (tie it into the trunk light so whenever it's open they light up)

Reupholstering the rear deck, get rid of the speaker holes (with the lack of speakers...only have two up front w/ tweets), may even go overboard and do the door panels and headliner...we'll see

o yea, and can't forget replacing the fog lights that broke as soon as I got them, probably just going stock instead of flashy/junk again.

and the possible /further-in-the-future mods list:

cams

supercharger/turbo...not sure exactly what kinda setup I'd do, hence the 'possible ', but definitely considering it. (and of course the internal modifications necessary to do so)

TDI 5th gear swap, economy stylz, also thinking of a mk4 VR tranny...silky smoothness/reliability.

Now for a few pics...

(Right when I bought it... offroad stylz)
