I bought this 88 Raider from a guy that loved camo. It has a 2.6- 4 cyl, and had well over 100000 miles on it. It came with 29 inch tires and before I went wheeling I upgraded to 31's.
I got bored one day and thought it would be cool to cut off the back half and give it kind of a truck look. After a lot of work and a roll bar from a Jeep CJ, you can see that it turned out pretty good.
My next off road victim I didnt need the back half anyway Everything cut, seamed and ready to get muddy Pictures really dont show how steep it REALLY was Reality check... A winch is always a good idea. Harbor freight tools $300.00 special including everything you see here. This one is rated at 8,000 lbs. I could hang this rig from a tree if I wanted to with this thing. Always bring a witness. Or in this case... your neice.

Looks like you're having fun with this Raider (is it still a Raider after all your chopping?) It's cool that your wife is so tolerant about your hobby and it sounds like you have a good compromise going. I really envy that big garage space you have!

Thanks for the compliment. It is definately a work in progress, and it seems like every time I am planning to go wheeling, there is a mountain of more things to do. I am going wheeling this weekend, and of course I found problems with the rear brakes. Never fails, but that is why we have salvage yards. Thanks again

Great looking truck, looks mean and ready for some major off road action, I have a Dodge too, It would not do very well off road even with the mods I have done. Keep up the great work.
