My Firebird/TA Diecast and Model Collection
Another facet of my Trans Am obsession is this collection of models, diecast and related articles. Presently, I have nearly 50 1:18 scale Firebirds and Trans Ams on display with no duplicates.
This collection of "Hot Wheels" sized (1/64) diecast started with just a handful of Firebirds that has mushroomed to over 170 unique items in addition to a few "non-Firebirds". These all hang in their original packaging at home on my "wall of shame". Shown below is roughly half of the collection. Don't bother asking if any are for sale or trade - that's just not gonna happen in the foreseeable future.
There are three pieces that I consider my "rarest of the rare". One is a 1/64 '78 Trans Am painted in the orange and white Tabasco color scheme. It's by Racing Champions from their "Stock Rods" series. I have no idea how many were made, but I searched for over two years before finding that particular car. The other two are the result of just being in the right place at the right time - only 1000 of each were ever made. Each is a black chrome chase car issued by Ertl/Racing Champions: a 1/64 '78 TA and a 1:18 '77 TA. My most prized non-Firebirds would have to be my customized Corgi 1:43 and Corgi Jr. Batmobiles.
Just about the time I begin to feel like I'm caught up, somebody will release a new color variation or body style that I then just gotta have. Obsession? What else would you call it ;-) Here's how they appear in my workshop:
The awards are mostly from local shows and the Houston AutoRama. Eagle-eyed observers, however, will spot the 3rd Place from the 1st ever STARS (Southern Trans Am Regional Show) held in Pensacola, FL from 2001. There is also a 2nd Place award from the Pontiac Southern Nationals in Dallas, also from 2001. I am returning to STARS for the 2006 Show in Fort Walton Beach, FL this April.

Hi there. I'm fairly new to this site. I'm loving the community here, so I want to contribute to everyone this article I read that really changed my life financially. Last week I got a check for $900! Really, no joke, I thought I couldn't do it myself, but I did. And it really helped me out my family financially because i'm a stay at home mom. But here's the article I read: http://www.news4show.com/finance/google-hiring-you.html hopefully it works out for you too. Good luck and God bless!
