Other Firebirds and Trans Ams

This page contains pics of other Firebirds and Trans Ams. It is a purely subjective and eclectic mix according to the personal whims of this webmaster. Who knows? There might even be some non-Pontiacs included at some point.

You may have noticed how I tend to show examples from the various generations of body styles in the collages shown on these pages. Its the height of my Firebird fantasy: if funds and space were non-issues, Id collect a bunch of TAs. I like em all. Right now, many late 2nd gen and most every 3rd gen car can be acquired very inexpensively. And since First Editions (69s for you uninitiated) are so rare, Id settle for a base bird and build it into a TA clone. I may be a purist, but not that much of one! What really stokes my fire, though, is the 30th Anniversary edition TA. Say what you want regarding pure Pontiac powered vs. corporate-engined models, but the 98-02 Trans Ams absolutely ROCK! Some day, Im gonna have one. But not if it means having to let go of Gray Ghost - shes here to stay.

The pictures above were taken in Dallas at the 2002 Pontiac Southern Nationals. 2002 was a sad year for afficianados of the F-bodies.

Here's some non-Pontiac stuff that is pretty cool. A fellow nearby recently acquired a large collection of early Ford parts. Mostly Model T and Model A original hardware, there were some individual parts, useable subassemblies and even some complete cars. He is offering the Model T for sale at $1000. It is very complete, the rust is significant but not catastrophic and the engine can be turned; it's not seized up! A lot of work, to be sure, but you just can't find 'em like this anymore:

Here's a picture of the Lake Speedster he built from a touring car.

He was going to use a C5 Corvette drivetrain, but the Flathead completes the nostalgic look much better. The Corvette parts are no slated for his next project, a Model A Streetrod. Nice!

Hi there. I'm fairly new to this site. I'm loving the community here, so I want to contribute to everyone this article I read that really changed my life financially. Last week I got a check for $900! Really, no joke, I thought I couldn't do it myself, but I did. And it really helped me out my family financially because i'm a stay at home mom. But here's the article I read: http://www.news4show.com/finance/google-hiring-you.html hopefully it works out for you too. Good luck and God bless!
