So anyway, I'm back after being gone for so long. Now with a real rare classic, for those of you on here that know what a Checker is you will realize this is a real nice car. I know my pictures aren't that good, I will at some point take some better ones. Well enough of that, lets go over what it is. What I have is a 1967 Checker Marathon A12E. This car was a California car being as it had a 283 and not the 327 its supposed to have. Studebaker drum brakes and a Dana 60 rear end make it quite an interesting and hard to source parts vehicle. My grandfather Steve was VP of inventory (I think) at Checker Motors until the very end and was President of the Checker Car Club of America until he passed away in 1996. Hopefully we will have ours done and rebuilt for the next show!!! As winter sets in our minor resto job will be put off and will resume next spring.
