UPDATE: We took the car in around March and got a valve job and fuel system clean. Replaced the original Goodyear NCT's with something called Grand Am (I'll get pictures). Replaced the steering boots and inner door weather stripping (twice since the shop did it wrong the first time). I crank the car over about every week or two, turn on everything and it runs great now.
We bought the DeLorean in 1999. Since then we've only driven about 4k miles. The speedometer cable has broken (as DeLorean's are prone to do), so the mileage is probably around 40k. If your wondering about the bricks on the front wheels, that's because we're having issues with the clutch. Apparently there's a leak somewhere. It still has the original Goodyear tires on it. Aside from age, they have flat spots, so you get a nice vibration going down the road. Yes, the car is running in these pictures (AC too), that was summer 2006.
The hood with ridges, but no gas door (just like the BTTF car)
The Renault-Peugeot-Volvo V6. I think the only thing new here is the stainless overflow tank. Now why didn't they just use the Lotus Esprit engine?
Typical DMC silver wheels. You could also get these in gray. The wheels are riding on OEM Goodyear tires. You can't get those any more. I was told by Stephen Wynn that if I ever wanted to show the car, I should hold on to these tires.
The space-saver spare. I wonder if that thing is any good? You can also get access to the clutch reservoir from here.
All gray leather interior. The driver's side seat back was replaced shortly after buying the car. And about a year or two later, the instrument pod cover was replaced as well. The only other part I can think that needs any attention is possibly a new headlight switch.
