June 2009 Painted Cam Covers....again

I had painted my cam covers a gloss black just 1 month before, they looked great, but collected dirt faster than I could clean it off.  So I painted my extra set of cam covers cast coat aluminum.  They look very smooth.  I love em!

May 29, 2009 New 1/4 mile record 13.31 @ 101mph!!!

DA was 4131 ft.  95* outside and let me tell you....it was HOT.  If this truck is going this fast in this kind of heat, 12's in winter should be no problem at all.  I've seen this truck drop 2 tenths from the temps dropping only 10*.

New best 60 ft, 1/8th, and 1/4    0-60 in 4.63 seconds!

May 21, 2009 Stage III completed

Added the APR 2.7" pulley, APR 7th Injector and 570cc Primaries, and a URD fuel pump kit(Walbro 255).  Also put in new plugs and painted my valve covers gloss black.  Custom made Stage III cover for the intake lid to finish it off.

It's alot faster.

April 4, 2009 Gadget comes to town!

Gadget is Awesome!  He drove nearly 1000 miles round trip, just to come help me install the APR kit and tune my truck as well as two others.  What a guy!  He also showed off his new supercharger, the URD Mark II Stage 3 kit.  422 rwhp, and let me tell you...its crazy fast!

My X-1 install went somewhat smoothly, and once it was all done I was very pleased.  Not sure how much power I picked up, but the truck feels ALOT faster.  I will get some track results soon.

April 1, 2009 New Stuff!

I bought the APR X-1 kit to replace my MAPECU2.  This includes the X-1, cam gears, and 170* thermostat.  Gadget will be fine tuning this.  This should all be installed very very soon!  (and maybe more stuff too...cant say yet)

I polished my URD Y pipe and my TRD intercooler.  The intercooler came out really nice.  I would recommend that to anyone with the supercharger.

Nov 2, 2008 Vegas Trip

Went to Vegas where I met up with Gadget from URD.  He tuned my truck using a MAPECU2.  It's much faster than before.  So finally all of the mods have been tied together and Im getting the kind of performace I was looking for.  Very happy with the results.  New videos to come soon!

As you can see, the URD Y pipe is MUCH better than stock.

September 14, 2008 Boost pic

So Im not sure why, but my truck was able to make 8.5 pounds of boost one random day....and it was 100* outside..never happened again.  UPDATE: The truck makes 7psi in 60* weather at 3000ft.  at 1000ft is makes 8psi.

September 9, 2008 New tires

Same as stock, but man I needed them.  Decided to change them slighly by putting white lettering inside this time.  Looks rugged.  Rims held up perfect during tire change, no scraps in paint at all.  Although when they removed the weights on the rims I had 4 blank spots.  I touched that up since taking this picture, and it looks good as new.

September 8, 2008 New Intake?!

You might be asking yourself why would somebody buy a new intake that looks almost identical to the K&N that was already on the truck....The answer to that question is simple.  I've been logging my intake temps off my scangauge and I am not impressed with the K&N anymore.  Sure it cools off eventually, but when racing at the track it was heating up in between runs(more so than others with TRD), and thus I was slowly losing power as the night progressed.  So I decided change it up.

And it was a great decision!  After a sitting at a red light, intake temps are 30-40* cooler than the K&N, and intake temps also cool off the second I start moving.  This is due to the TRD design of sucking in air from inside the fender, rather than inside the engine bay.  One thing I didnt expect was my air/fuel ratio to change. Lucky for me it changed in the right direction!  It leaned me out from 10.0 to 10.5-10.9 at WOT.  This gave me a significant increase in power.  It still needs to be tuned, but Im definitely closer to where I want to be.  Not to mention, the TRD intake looks great!

August 18, 2008  Pulley is on!  WOW!

HUGE difference!  The truck pulls alot harder now. Went from 5.5 to 7.2 psi, and thats in 93 degree weather!  Can't wait for the tune and winter weather(should hit 8 psi)  Still 10.1 AFR, which is rich, but not too bad.

August 3, 2008 New Stuff

Some people have been able to gain 40+ rwhp from these two...Im hoping for the same. It's the URD Supercharger Pulley 2.825" and MAPECU2 custom tuned by none other than Gadget himself.  URD is awesome!

Summer 2008

Went Racing a few times, but I never had any good times thanks to lack of traction, no tune, and Arizona heat.  But I still love it!

Late January 2008

Bought some Nokya 2500K yellow fogs, and they are freakin sweet! With the FLM (fog light mod) driving around with just the fogs on is tight! Also put in some 194 super white LED's in the license tags and headlight corners. HVM HID's are next!

Finally finished the Lotek gauge pod. Autometer Nexus Oil psi and Volts for now. In the picture they are blue, didn't change them to RED for this picture to match the rest of the gauges. The remote is hidden inside the change holder on the left side...it can change the gauges 7 different colors along with 5 different dimming modes. I usually keep it on red...looks sweet! (UPDATE:  now I have nexus boost and AFR wideband)

December 2007-
I bought Doug Thorley Long Tubes. They look beautiful. If you want the most power out of your ride then these are the way to go. However there is a catch. Because these remove the front set of cats the exhaust is very raspy. It tones down a bit when warmed up but it is always present. I've tried multiple different mufflers and nothing will get rid of the rasp when its cold. So dont say I didnt warn ya!

Hey man looking very good. What does it sound like with the headers, URD y-pipe, and URD cat back with turbo muffler? I have the headers, and its a little on the raspy side, im wanting to do your setup just unsure.
