SOLD!

Bio: So this is my first car, I bought it when I was 16 with a blown headgasket. It has fully resealed motor, brake rebuild, exhaust, rims/wheels, engine painting etc. I do all of the work with my dad (Uncle Fester and the madddd scientist). He's been a Suby specialist for 20+ years now, and without him this car wouldnt be anything close to what it is today. If you are wondering why I am planning on turboing this car rather than buying a WRX...
1.) I can't afford a WRX, I am 17 and work at a restaraunt while enrolled in highschool (i'm persuing premedical studies)
2.) USDM WRX never came in a coupe (therefore my car is a few hundred pounds lighter than your WRX) and I love the 2door look.
3.) WRX insurance is ridiculously high. Mine is not.
4.) Because I can, and I can produce more power than a stock WRX with a basic turbo setup.

Installed a new air filter yesterday, liking the color.

Waxed it today. For some reason my other pictures wont upload but heres a pretty good one. Not bad for a twelve year old paintjob eh?

Current Build:
-EJ22 SOHC
-Borla XR-1 3" stainless steel exhaust
-Custom Short ram intake

-Currently rated at Approx: 165hp
-Current weight: ~2,600lbs

Current Project:
auto to manual swap
status: In progress!
Cost: Free (I recieved a 98 Impreza Outback Sport that was rolled for $200, parted it out and made my money back, used the motor in a different car, and stripped all of the parts i need for my manual swap)

Future plans:

Phase I (cost ~$2,000)
-IHI VF40 or TD04 Turbo
-550cc STI injectors
-walbro or STI fuel pump
-WRX TMIC
-Tial BOV
-CIA (replacing the current SRI)
-GReddy Emanage Ultimate engine management system
-Cam upgrades
-Lightweight crank pulley

Phase II (cost ~an additional $2000 or more)
-FMIC
-EJ22T shortblock
-Phase I DOHC heads
-EJ22T pistons and connecting rods
-possibly 50 shot NOS
-Lightweight flywheel (replace crank pulley to stock)

Build I Target: 9 psi

-290lbs torque

Build II Target: 22 psi (with Green turbo)
-400+awhp
-400+lbs torque

Aesthetics:
-New paint(Black or dark candy apple red I havent decided)
-Either a 2.5RS front bumper or a full body kit (whatever is more convenient)
-STI spoiler (don't tell me I am a ricer or whatever, I have a suby coupe that desires an STI spoiler, get over it :) )

hey it me again i recently purchased a 1995 subaru legacy wagon. it is a five speed and has the 2.2 liter in it. i was wondering if you or your dad hadf any idea what the final drive artio or the rear differential ratio was. i am planning my swap and was wondering if i need to change the rear diff too. I KNOW THAT MY RATIO IS 4.111 IN MY IMPREZA. if you could let me know i would really apppreciate it. also how is your swap coming. i am planning to do mine in the next week or two i will post pics and let you know i am also 17 and this is a big project for me. my dad is also a mechanic and knows alot about cars and swaps THANKS
