Thank you for your interest about my car audio site.First of all; I am Jaka T. from Slovenia, I am 24 years old and one of my hobbys is devoted to quality car audio. I was also Slovenian wice champion in car audio, class 301-600W in year 2000 respectively. Here you will find more about my sound system in Fiat Punto. My car is Fiat Punto S. It has been sport tuned by A3M motorsport. The modifications has been made on motor electronic, adding new K&N sport air filter, sport suspension APEX, sport exhaust ASSO and so on. So, here is the picture from the front side. And the picture taken from the back side. You can see also 14" OZ racing ALU rims with Toyo 185/55/R14 sport tyres. For head unit I choose Alpine 3DE-7886R. Front system is now RCF SP165, before that was DLS reference R6 and it's separate two way system. For covering low frequencies I use the JBL GTI 1500 sub driver. Amplifiers are two. For the front system Alpine MRV-F305, before that was Sinus Live 752L and for the sub I use Alpine MRV-T 1005. Down here are two pics of my Punto's rear side. So, let me tell you about what you see. The 15 inch JBL GTI subwoofer, which can load 600 Watts r.m.s is placed at the center of the boot. The volume of the box is 95 liters netto. For the bass reflex I put the DLS laminar air flow port (less air turbolence at high output levels). On the left side you can see the 0,5 Farad power cap from Harrison Laboratory. Behind the back seat is placed on the left Alpine MRV-T1005 amplifier for the sub. It has 1x600 Watts r.m.s at 4 ohms. On the right side you see the Sinus Live amp, it brings 2x75 Watts r.m.s to the front system. On the top left and top of the right side of the seat are mounted two Zagar audio passive crossovers for the front system. The system has been improved in year 2001 and now it looks like this. The system has 750 Watts r.m.s and the SPL inside the car is now 139.9.dB ( measured at front window), RTA factor is 14 (of 20 max). The sound pressure level (dB) and RTA has been measured on Linear X instrument, which gives more accuracy measurement results than TermPro instrument, which is usually used at dBdragracing. In Slovenia I compete at SCA (Slovenian car audio association). After all three competitions in year 2000 I get at class amateurs 301-600W the second position at SQ and also second position at SPL.Picture shows cooling system for the amplifiers. Two fan coolers are used for each amplifier. Front system is the RCF Sp 165. Here on the pics you see the TL 28i tweeter. It is 28mm silk dome tweeter, 80 Watts r.m.s and it sounds very clear and natural. Picture shows it's position in my car. This is my Alpine 3DE-7886R head unit. It has a 3-disc changer. It satisfys me, but anyway, I am looking now for the Pioneer DEX-P99R unit. This is the pics of my front panel. Original car does not have a place for the speakers in the front door. So, I replace the panels and upgraded them. Because the 6.5 inch mid-bass driver has too big magnet for this quite tiny door I must make an accomodation from wood as you can see on the picture (wood in black finish). The speakers are angled towards to the listener for 15 degrees. This driver is a part of the RCF Sp165 system and it brings 80 Watts r.m.s of clear mid-bass sound. Here is my power cap. It's a 0,5 Farad capacity (HL). So, less problems at peak current levels for the Alpine sub amplifier. The JBL GTI 1500. The finest sub-bass driver made by JBL. It can load 1000 watts without any problem and it's real shaker machine. You must believe me, that when this subwoofer goes into the action it pulls the bass mercilessly down to the depths. Crossovers (12 dB per octave) are hand made by Zagar audio. Top quality of course! I also use the Subsonic filters (30 Hz) from Harrison Labs for better transparency of sound. Here you see my five band parametric EQ LANZAR E540P. It has also low pass crossower and it is very useful for me. The next modification of the system will be probably done in year 2003 by adding the new sub bass driver JBL GTI 15". Here is the pics of this excellent bass speaker.
