Welcome to my page! well the next summer is arriving and i have been working along at getting my car ready for some shows.

A few friends and I decided to start a car club, and the name "tight whips" just stuck... so that's the banner on my windshield. I also have a custom grille, LED underglow, my amp and subs in the back, and an A-pillar boost gauge, pics soon of these.

I bought the car, a '98 5-spd T5 (very rare) in july '07. when i got it, only 81,000 on the odo. now, 103,000 (ahh!)

UPDATES 4/22/08

SO as time passes more things keep goin on. now that the nice weather's arrived i got some new rims, 18" ADR Competitions. Got a set of the Kumho Ecsta SPTs (great tires - highly recommended). fabbed a custom 2.5" exhaust from the cat-back. put an A-pillar boost guage in (from IPD), turned the boost up 3 pounds by shortening the wastegate rod. Then i decided to put volvo "R" badges on since what is a R really but a S60 with a different intake, exhaust and more boost? plus they look pretty nice. only 2 pics today, ill have some more on soon.

UPDATES 2/14/08

SO I trashed the tinted stock headlights in favor of some ABM projectors w/ PIAA hi-output bulbs. And, got the windows tinted (35% front 5% back) at a local shop. Just waitin for the snow to melt for more.

NEW HEADLIGHT / CORNERS
Well, I found these corners on ebay, decided the stock headlights looked ridiculous with the black corners so i laid some 35% tint on the heads... it came out pretty good. 1 wrinkle on each. Plus, they're not too much dimmer at night. I got some HID-look "5900k" bulbs coming, so hopefully that will overcome the tint. (real HIDs/ projector heads are too expensive, so for now, this works.)

NEW SHIFT KNOB + DVD IN-DASH PLAYER!!!

This stuff was sweet good deals again on ebay just little touches (besides the DVD player). The DVD screen is prime cuz the regular radio is a 2-DIN so this fit perfectly, allowed me to hook up my amp and subs and is so cool. (I hooked it up so it'll play while driving - not safe! but cool haha)

DEBADGING / INTAKE

just left the T5 on there to warn people who know about volvos... 0:-) and threw a filter on the MAF and a breather on the little air pump thingy... just temporary, but makes the car sound soooo much nastier... you can really hear the blowoff.
