I built this GMC Acadia Denali style project XUV for the SEMA show. With only a few weeks to build it, the days and nights ran together.
The goal was to build a clean and simple Acadia with a few "show-worthy" upgrades, but mostly street friendly. Keeping is simple, I leaned toward the white-out look, painting the lower cladding to match the pearl white diamond tricoat paint. I installed Gravana/H&R prototype springs with a 1" drop. It needs 2-3 inches and production springs will offer the lower stance! For wheels, I chose the Diablo XLR8 22x9.5 chrome wheels with color-matched white diamond on one side and gloss black on the other. I am running Goodyear 285/40-22 tires. I wanted to keep the factory Navigation and DVD head unit, so J&G Customs worked a complete Boston Acoustics system around it with Visualogic Replacement Headrests with DVD Players and Monitors built-into each one. For a little more Horsepower, I installed a Gravana Stainless Air Intake System and Magnaflow Stainless Exhaust. For the show "bling", as well as easy access in tight parking areas, I added the VDI Acadia Vertical Door Kit from Gravana Tuning. The doors opening vertically turns heads everywhere the Acadia parks! To help subsidize the project, parts and labor were traded out for exposure via company logos via Modern Image Graphics.
