I need a new altenator. Those 2 12's just drain my battery so quick it unreal. The stock altenator just can't keep up. If anyone knows where I could get a new, or rebuilt, heavy duty altenator, it would be great. At a good price too. Around $150, lower is better. Preferably 140 - 200 amps. Thanks!

Thanks for looking at my RESTORED 1965 mustang. I got the car in April of 2001. I received the car as a birthday present. Everything was already done, so I don't know how the resto was done. It has the stock 289 V-8 in it, driving the standard "cruise-o-matic" 4-speed transmission.

That's me and my dog in the picture. I think the paint is called "candy apple red". It has a white vinyl top on it, too.

This picture's a little dark, but closer.

Here is the engine compartment. As you can see, it is begging for a rebuild. The rings are gone and it blows a lot of smoke.

The interior is all white leather, with brown carpet.

I did install the entire stereo system myself though. I will try to get many more pictures of many of the angles of the car up soon. Enjoy.

good lookin stang...that interior is slammin...oh and by the way, what you called the "stock tape player" is not really stock; your previous owner must have installed that, because mustangs at that time period only had am/fm radios. all in all: great lookin stang, and good luck with the engine! come see my 64 1/2 stang sometime!

Nice car man! You should invest in a capacitor. It will prolong the life of your battery and your alternator. I had the same problem, as soon as I got the sound system my alternator went. So I talked to some people and found out that I need a capacitor. They are pretty cheap, depending on what brand you get. Check out ebay.com and you might find some good deals on a capacitor. Anyway nice car, keep using the 289 untill it goes!

Nice car, Thnx for checkin mine out. The interior looks GREAT. About the 298....Keep it and put a 4brrl on it. I talked about putting a 302 in mine but they said it would do just as good to put a 4brrl on it. Plus 302 isnt as well built as the 289. Anyway, Great car.
