MD-IN-UK's 1974 Austin Mini Heres old Bertie his first day in the shop. It's kind of dark, but it is a "before" snap. I'm sure that if you've come this far, you pretty much know what he looked like before anyhow.

MD-IN-UK's 1974 Austin MiniI took a piece of paper and a marker to highlight the "Mayfair" decal on the quarters and the boot. My associate John Wooten (an award winning airbrush artist)will be working his magic when the paint work process kicks into high gear. I know some might say drop it (the Mayfair)and make it a Cooper wanna be, but I'd like to keep something original on the outside as well.

MD-IN-UK's 1974 Austin MiniThis is where the sprayed on "Mayfair" will go in a few more weeks. (I hope)

MD-IN-UK's 1974 Austin MiniAnd this is the boot location as well.

MD-IN-UK's 1974 Austin MiniLocation of emblems is important and when there glued on, it just makes sense to take a snap before you remove it. I'll also be replacing this license light cover with a chrome bit.

MD-IN-UK's 1974 Austin MiniSame thing here as well, and those boot hinges will be chrome too!

MD-IN-UK's 1974 Austin MiniThose are just water spots mixed with "Body Shop Dust". I was trying to get the dent in the roof, but the shop lights kinda hide that anyway.

MD-IN-UK's 1974 Austin Mini Oh what lurks under here?

MD-IN-UK's 1974 Austin Mini The left front wheel house to rocker panel, not bad, easily repaireable.

MD-IN-UK's 1974 Austin Mini The left rear wheel house, eqaully nice.

MD-IN-UK's 1974 Austin Mini The rear lower valance, hmmm... that's gonna have to be replaced. Too bent up and rusty for me I'm afraid.

Very sweet mini! I love the progress pics! And the blue checkers on the sides is a first! I can only hope that my mini will look half as nice when it's done.
