Heres old Bertie his first day in the shop. It's kind of dark, but it is a "before" snap. I'm sure that if you've come this far, you pretty much know what he looked like before anyhow.
I took a piece of paper and a marker to highlight the "Mayfair" decal on the quarters and the boot. My associate John Wooten (an award winning airbrush artist)will be working his magic when the paint work process kicks into high gear. I know some might say drop it (the Mayfair)and make it a Cooper wanna be, but I'd like to keep something original on the outside as well.
This is where the sprayed on "Mayfair" will go in a few more weeks. (I hope)
And this is the boot location as well.
Location of emblems is important and when there glued on, it just makes sense to take a snap before you remove it. I'll also be replacing this license light cover with a chrome bit.
Same thing here as well, and those boot hinges will be chrome too!
Those are just water spots mixed with "Body Shop Dust". I was trying to get the dent in the roof, but the shop lights kinda hide that anyway.
Oh what lurks under here?
The left front wheel house to rocker panel, not bad, easily repaireable.
The left rear wheel house, eqaully nice.
The rear lower valance, hmmm... that's gonna have to be replaced. Too bent up and rusty for me I'm afraid.
