Page 1 - How I got the car and what it looked like
This is a page for my current 3rd gen project. A 1990 Camaro RS. This cardomain is in chronological order for the most part.
Mods so far...there is still a lot to go.
Appearance: 4 inch cowl, 91-92 aero GFX and Z28 spoiler, blackouts, shaved antenna and locks, 91 Z28 rims
Interior: Reupholstered from gray interior to black, A-pillar gauge pod, K40 radar det., 2000 T/A black leather seats, Custom door panels, Grant steering wheel, RAAM matted
Drivetrain/Suspension: 350 build for boost, custom blower cam, Vortec heads, Super Victor intake, 650 double pumper, HEI dizzy, ARP bolts, Mallory Comp fuel pump, Hedman long tubes, Summit X-pipe, Bullet mufflers, RCI fuel cell, Spohn Wonderbar
Future endevours include Procharger and intercooler setup. The cam is ground to be most efficient at 16 psi. The trans and rear are stock so as soon as they blow I'm thinking a built TH400 and a 9 inch rear. Car is being painted gunmetal gray, signals and sidemarkers will be blacked out to match the blacked out tails. True HIDs and a custom subbox to fill in the lack of a back seat are also on the list.
Here's where the car sat for about a year. I bought it in late summer of 2006 and that makes it the second third gen in the driveway.
Heres the '85 and the '90 side by side in my driveway.
Rear shot, custom metallic green paint that looks really nice in the sun. But the car was in a bit of a fender bender so it needs to be repainted. Also the previous owner painted over rust!! So Im going to repaint the whole thing and probably a different color too.
Heres the front end damage. The corner of the bumper is torn and you can tell that the paintjob on the bumper was done without a flex agent...
The messy interior that was left behind. On the plus side I got a free brand new 2800 stall and a flowmaster muffler
A nice shot of the paint in the sun
So once again I find something done half ass, lol. The owner swapped out the little L03 for an L98. Converted it to carb and all but when I bought the car he told em the swap wasn't finished which was pretty obvious as I had no accessories or radiator. Look a little closer and see that the engine wiring harness isnt there(ugh). So I bought a unmolested harness from thirdgen.org and hooked that up.
Drivers side fender that was dented.
A closer view of the damage to be repaired on the bumper cover
