This is my first car that I built and drove through high school. Bought it in 1958 for $85.00. It is a 1931 Ford Model A Deluxe Rumble Seat Coupe. Sold it in 1962 for $350. This was my second car that I bought in 1962 for $100. It is a 1954 Ford Mainliner 2 Dr. Sedan. I put in a 406 Cu. In. Ford engine with six 2 bbl. carbs, a '57 Merc stick shift and 4:11 rear gears. Sold it in 1966 for $250 to my brother. Did all the bodywork and engine work on my cars myself. Never a more fun time than working on my cars. My third car was a 1958 Ford Thunderbird that I bought for $650 in 1966. This was my wedding gift to me. Sold it two years later for $850. Still got the wife. Nice car. This was my 15th project. It sports $30,000 in 53 line item aftermarket expenditures. The engine was a 650 HP nitrous burning 409 cu. in. smallblock with a T56 six speed tranny that pushed this boat to a 10 second quarter mile. The weight to horsepower ratio is not as good on this TA as the Miata Cobra 300M we're building here now. TPIS did all the engine work on this one too! You could hear the pipes 5 miles away when you punched it. I traded it for the new Miata. It was the car or the wife. And the wife wanted HALF! So I built this 1984 Buick Reatta to keep the wifey happy, with an "everything you can do to it" 3.8 V6 engine. It's "HER" car, but I drive it. It learches real good. It also knocks out more transmissions than I can afford to put in it. The wheels are Centerline 16" X 10" with an off-set that brings the wheels flush and makes a "Ballerina" into a "Grizzley Bear." An absolutely beautiful car design, all handmade. I installed 1995 Pontiac TransAm leather seats on the Reatta power tracks to get the most comfortable Reatta on the face of the earth! I love this car!

Fabulous and creative job with the Miata. I own a 2001 with comparatively modest mods (I don't have access to a lift nor the cajones to do major stuff yet!). Feel free to check it out if you like.

Great car, great execution on the swap! I'm a 215 fan from way back. I currently own a '62 Jetfire with 4 speed and a bunch of parts! Got a question: Where do you get a Rover Victor manifold? I visited the Edelbrock site and they didn't have it anywhere. Thanks and great car!
