oldfart's 2002 Mazda Miata

The perfect marrige that Ford refused to sanction.  An all-aluminum Land Rover V-8 engine 4.9L with

a Borg-Warner 5 speed transmission and a Mazda Miata.  Prototyped by a Ford engineer at home with

180HP in a 1995 MX-5, and optimized here with 385HP 300 cu. in. Rover V-8 in a 2002 Miata LS.

Fabulous and creative job with the Miata. I own a 2001 with comparatively modest mods (I don't have access to a lift nor the cajones to do major stuff yet!). Feel free to check it out if you like.

Great car, great execution on the swap! I'm a 215 fan from way back. I currently own a '62 Jetfire with 4 speed and a bunch of parts! Got a question: Where do you get a Rover Victor manifold? I visited the Edelbrock site and they didn't have it anywhere. Thanks and great car!
